Getting Started
Start with the day’s Learn queue. Each card includes a Japanese expression, reading, romaji and English meaning. Use Explore to look through the collection.
Learning & Reviews
Choose Review again when a word needs more time, or I know this to move it forward. Yomirika uses spaced repetition to bring words back over time.
Pronunciation
Check your iPhone volume and audio output if you cannot hear playback. Yomirika uses Apple system speech; Japanese voice availability can depend on the voice installed in iOS.
Widgets
Widgets are read-only and open Yomirika when tapped. Widget refresh timing is managed by iOS, so updates may not appear immediately. Add or edit widgets from the iPhone Home Screen or Lock Screen customization flow.
Notifications
Reminders are local iOS notifications. If they do not arrive, check that reminders are enabled in Yomirika and that notifications are allowed in Settings → Notifications → Yomirika.
Yomirika Pro
Pro unlocks all 624 N5 vocabulary entries, the medium Home Screen widget and Lock Screen widget formats. Current subscription choices and prices are always shown in the app.
Restore Purchases
After reinstalling or changing devices, use Restore Purchases in the app. Ensure you are signed in to the Apple Account used to subscribe. If restoration does not complete, restart the app and try again.
Troubleshooting
Try updating iOS and Yomirika, then restart the app. For a widget that looks stale, wait for iOS to refresh it or remove and add it again. Your learning data is stored locally, so avoid deleting the app unless you understand the effect on local data.
