Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Yomirika handles information when you use the iPhone app and this website. Yomirika is a vocabulary learning app. It has no user account system and no Yomirika cloud backend for learning progress.
Information Stored on Your Device
Yomirika stores app information locally on your device using Apple technologies. This includes settings and preferences, onboarding status, reminder settings, vocabulary progress and daily learning activity.
Learning Progress
Your vocabulary progress and daily learning activity are kept on your device. We do not operate a cloud service that receives or stores your learning progress.
Pronunciation
Yomirika uses Apple’s speech synthesis APIs to provide Japanese system pronunciation, including normal and slow playback. The app does not record your voice or collect audio recordings from you. Voice availability may depend on your iOS configuration.
Notifications
Learning reminders are local notifications scheduled through iOS. Their content and scheduling remain on your device. You can control notification permission in iPhone Settings and adjust reminders in the app.
Widgets and App Group
Yomirika’s main app and Widget Extension share limited state through an Apple App Group so widgets can display current information. This can include a current vocabulary snapshot, display preferences and a subscription entitlement mirror. This shared state remains on your device.
Purchases
Subscriptions are offered through Apple’s App Store and StoreKit. Yomirika uses RevenueCat to determine subscription entitlement, process purchase state, restore purchases and obtain subscription offerings. We do not process payment card information directly.
RevenueCat may process purchase, subscription, device and diagnostic information in accordance with its own privacy policy. Apple also handles information required to complete purchases under its own privacy practices.
Analytics
Yomirika uses TelemetryDeck for anonymous product analytics. We do not send a custom user ID, vocabulary text, vocabulary IDs, notification content, purchase receipts, email address, name or profile information to TelemetryDeck.
Telemetry may include product events, app and build information, subscription-state category, paywall source and low-cardinality interaction metadata. This helps us understand product reliability and broad feature use without connecting activity to an account profile.
Third-Party Services
Apple, RevenueCat and TelemetryDeck provide services described above. Their handling of information is governed by their own policies. Yomirika currently includes no advertising SDKs.
Data Retention
Local app data remains on your device until you delete it, delete the app, or otherwise change it through iOS and app controls. Retention by Apple, RevenueCat and TelemetryDeck is governed by their applicable policies and service arrangements.
Security
We use the privacy-preserving app architecture described here, but no method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep your device and Apple Account secure using the protections available in iOS.
Your Rights
Because Yomirika does not maintain a user account or cloud learning-profile database, most learning data can be managed directly on your device. For questions about information held by our service providers, please contact them under their applicable privacy processes. You may also contact us using the details below.
Children’s Privacy
Yomirika is not specifically directed to children. We do not provide user accounts or knowingly collect personal information from children through an account system. If you believe a child has provided personal information to a service connected with Yomirika, contact us.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy when the app or its services change. We will post the revised version here and update the date above.
